Michael Schalow
The coach behind
Everything Counts.
Known to many in Wisconsin basketball as Coach Mike Schalow, Michael retired as Kaukauna’s head boys basketball coach in 2025 after 30 seasons.
During his tenure, Kaukauna recorded 482 wins, six conference championships, and WIAA Division 2 state titles in 2016 and 2018. In 2018, the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association inducted him into its Hall of Fame.
In Everything Counts, he shares program-building experience with high school coaches and athletic directors. The book brings basketball experience into a broader conversation about building and leading sports programs.
